Eminem feat. Nate Dogg Shake That Ass
There was a while (I’d guess 2005-2008) when I hardly listened to any radio. I knew none of the current popular songs — and I don’t mean for this to be some sort of “Oh, I’m so much better than everyone else because I only listened to good music” rant, because I listened to pretty much only Billy Joel, Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, and The Killers during this time — and was generally woefully out of touch with modern society for a long time. During those three years, I also had four roommates who borrowed my car, and when they did, they’d put mixed CDs in my car stereo. Since my roommates were also not necessarily super hip, many of the songs on these CDs were Spanish rap and music of that ilk, but this song was on one of them, and I have been super in love with it ever since. I keep waiting for an opportunity to sing it with another awesome person at karaoke one night, and the opportunity keeps not arising because my friends are lame. Who’s game?
